Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday lauded the Indian armed forces for their precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), asserting that the operation specifically targeted those responsible for attacks on innocent civilians.

Speaking at the inauguration of 50 infrastructure projects undertaken by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across six states and two Union Territories, Singh expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his unequivocal support to the armed forces during Operation Sindoor.

“This operation is a reflection not only of our military precision but also of our ethical conduct,” Singh stated. Citing Lord Hanuman, he said, “Jin mohi maara, tin mohi maare”—meaning, “We struck only those who struck us first”—underscoring that no harm was caused to civilian areas or populations.

Highlighting the professionalism and restraint of the Indian military, Singh said: “Our forces demonstrated extraordinary courage, awareness, and compassion. The planned targets were neutralised with utmost accuracy, while ensuring minimal risk to civilians.”

He further said the operation was a rightful and necessary response to an attack on Indian soil, aimed at sending a strong message and breaking the morale of terrorist elements.
