Srinagar, August 12 : The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) raided multiple locations in central Kashmir in connection with the 1990 murder of Kashmiri Pandit woman Sarla Bhat.
Bhat, a trainee at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, went missing from her hostel in April 1990 and was later found dead in downtown Srinagar.
The raids targeted residences of several former Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) members, including ex-leader Peer Noorul Haq Shah, alias Air Marshal. The SIA recently took over the case. Further details are awaited.
