SRINAGAR: Budgam Police on Wednesday seized three properties under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), belonging to Pakistan-based terrorist handlers involved in cross-border militancy.A police spokesperson said the properties—located in Khag, Chewa Beerwah, and Harwani Khansahib—were attached in the presence of Executive Magistrates.
The action is linked to FIR No. 58/2024 under various sections of the Indian Arms Act and UAPA, initiated by Police Station Khag.
The seized assets include a residential house in Harwani Khansahib owned by Manzoor Ahmad Chopan alias Rayees, a house and land in Chewa Budgam belonging to Mohammad Yousuf Malik alias Molvi, and a land parcel in Khag owned by Bilal Ahmad Wani alias Umer.
All three are currently operating from across the border.“These handlers have long facilitated terrorism in the region. The attachment aims to disrupt the logistical and financial support systems of terror networks and serves as a stern warning against anti-national activities,” the statement said.
