New Delhi, May 9: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday chaired a high-level security review meeting in the wake of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. The focus was on the situation along the International Border and the security preparedness at airports nationwide, sources said.
The review came shortly after the Border Security Force (BSF) reported it had foiled an infiltration attempt in the Jammu region, neutralizing at least seven terrorists and demolishing a Pakistan Rangers post.
During the meeting, Shah was briefed on current security deployments and ongoing efforts to strengthen vigilance at sensitive locations, particularly airports and border outposts, as military tensions between the two countries continue to intensify.
