Light Rain, Gusty Winds Expected in Kashmir Till May 25

Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Tuesday issued a fresh weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, forecasting intermittent rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds over the next few days, followed by a spell of hot and dry weather later in the week.

According to the Meteorological Centre, weather conditions on May 20 and 21 are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy across the region, with light rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds likely at scattered to many places.

From May 22 to 25, the weather is expected to remain generally dry during the forenoon hours. However, brief showers may occur during the late afternoon at scattered locations across the Valley and other parts of the Union Territory.

The MeT department further predicted that weather conditions from May 26 to 28 are likely to remain generally hot and dry, indicating a rise in daytime temperatures across the region.

Residents, especially those in vulnerable and hilly areas, have been advised to stay updated with official weather advisories and take necessary precautions during periods of gusty winds and thunderstorms.
