Government Teacher Killed, Several Injured in Handwara Road Accident; LG Sinha Expresses Grief

Handwara, July 30: A tragic road accident in the Behnipora area of Handwara on Tuesday claimed the life of a government teacher and left several others injured, officials said.

According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Shri Irshad Ahmed Lone, a teacher by profession.

The vehicle he was travelling in reportedly met with an accident under unclear circumstances, resulting in his death and causing injuries to multiple passengers.Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended condolences to the bereaved family.

“I am deeply grieved by the tragic road accident in Handwara. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the family of Shri Irshad Ahmed Lone who lost his life. I pray for the early recovery of those injured in this accident,” the Lieutenant Governor said in a statement issued today.
