SRINAGAR: President Droupadi Murmu will release digital versions of the Constitution of India in nine regional languages—including Kashmiri—during a Constitution Day event in New Delhi on 26 November, officials said.
The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. in the historic Central Hall of the old Parliament building. This marks the first official availability of the complete Constitution in the Kashmiri language.
The event will be presided over by the President and attended by the Vice President, Prime Minister, Lok Sabha Speaker, Union Ministers, and Members of Parliament.
According to officials, the Legislative Department of the Union Law Ministry has prepared the new digital editions in Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia, and Assamese.
A souvenir titled “Art and Calligraphy from the Constitution of India” (Hindi version), curated by the Ministry of Culture, will also be released during the programme.
