SRINAGAR: Security was intensified at Jammu railway station on Monday following the recent busting of a terror module. Police and paramilitary forces carried out surprise checks, frisked passengers, and thoroughly inspected luggage. The heightened alert comes days after eight people, including doctors, were arrested for allegedly planning major attacks across the country.
Meanwhile, Poonch Police announced a ₹5 lakh reward for any credible and actionable information on the presence or movement of militants or their associates in the border district.
Police assured complete confidentiality for informers and urged the public to report any suspicious activity—especially those involving shelter, logistics, transport, communication support, or financing for terrorists. Authorities further appealed for vigilance against anyone aiding recruitment or sharing sensitive information.
