Srinagar: Intensifying its action against the proscribed outfit Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), banned under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday carried out coordinated search operations across multiple locations in Budgam district.

The raids were conducted at the residences and premises of JeI members and their associates in Soibugh, Magam, Khansahib, Beerwah, Chadoora, and Charar-i-Sharief areas. Acting in accordance with due legal procedures, the operation aimed to recover incriminating materials, documents, and electronic evidence suggesting continued links with the banned organization.

Reiterating its resolve to dismantle the terror ecosystem, the J&K Police stated that efforts will continue to eliminate the support structures of proscribed groups to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.
