SRINAGAR: In a major crackdown on militant networks, Srinagar Police on Wednesday conducted raids at over 150 locations across the city to dismantle support structures linked with proscribed organisations.

The coordinated searches, carried out with assistance from the Special Operations Group (SOG), targeted residences of suspected overground workers and associates. Officials said the raids—supervised by senior officers and conducted in the presence of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses—aimed to seize incriminating material, including digital devices and documents, under ongoing UAPA investigations.

Police described the operation as part of an intelligence-driven effort to prevent any revival of militancy in Srinagar and reaffirmed that strict legal action will be taken against anyone aiding militant or anti-national activities.
