Srinagar Police Attaches Drug Peddler’s Property Worth ₹50 Lakhs

September 12, Srinagar: In a major step against drug trafficking, Srinagar Police has attached a residential property worth around ₹50 lakhs under the NDPS Act.The single-storey house, built on 5 marlas and 68 sq ft of land at Lachmanpora, Dandrkha, Batamaloo, belongs to Waseem Ahmad Bafanda, son of Ghulam Ahmad Bafanda.The action is linked to FIR No. 1/2025 under sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Zadibal. Bafanda, described as a notorious drug peddler, has a history of targeting local youth. Investigations revealed the property was purchased from drug trafficking proceeds.
