Jammu & Kashmir, 1st May 2025: The weather department has issued a forecast for Jammu & Kashmir, predicting light rain and showers in scattered areas with gusty winds over the next few days. The wet weather is expected to persist from the 1st to the 5th of May, with thunderstorm activity also likely in some regions.

According to the forecast, the region will experience occasional thunderstorms along with winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kilometers per hour, especially in localized spots. This may cause temporary disruptions, so authorities have advised the public to remain cautious.

“Intense showers and gusty winds are expected to hit some areas with a chance of lightning and thunder. Travelers and residents in high-altitude areas should stay alert,” said a spokesperson from the local meteorological office.

For the following days, from 6th to 8th May, the forecast predicts generally dry conditions, offering a break from the current unsettled weather.

Weather Advisory
The Jammu & Kashmir administration has issued a weather advisory urging people to stay indoors during intense showers and avoid unnecessary travel. Additionally, the public is urged to secure any loose objects outdoors to prevent damage caused by gusty winds.

Stay tuned for further updates, and be sure to plan your outdoor activities accordingly as the region braces for these unsettled weather conditions.
