Kulgam, Sunday: A truck driver lost his life on Sunday after his vehicle rolled back while he was repairing it on the roadside in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The incident occurred on National Highway-44 near the Nipora–Vessu area. According to officials, the truck reportedly moved backwards during repair work, trapping the driver underneath and causing fatal injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Saqib Mohammad, a resident of Udhampur district.
Soon after the incident, locals and emergency services rushed to the spot and shifted the injured driver to a nearby medical facility, where he was declared dead on arrival.
