SRINAGAR, Nov. 21 — As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance transparency, accountability, and security across healthcare institutions, Srinagar Police, in coordination with medical officers from the Health Department, conducted a series of inspections of lockers used by doctors and paramedical staff in district and private hospitals, medical colleges, Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and other health facilities.
The inspection drive aimed to prevent the misuse of lockers for storing unauthorized, illegal, or hazardous materials and to reinforce internal security protocols within medical establishments. Police teams, accompanied by health officials, examined all racks and lockers to ensure compliance with institutional guidelines.
During the exercise, staff members were reminded to maintain proper documentation and use official storage spaces strictly for legitimate purposes. Authorities further emphasized that such inspections will continue as part of routine vigilance to ensure a secure and professionally regulated environment within hospitals.
