Rajouri, J&K: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday visited Rajouri and laid the foundation stone for the construction of 388 houses for families whose homes were completely damaged in recent natural calamities and during unprovoked Pakistani shelling under Operation Sindoor.
The housing project is being executed with the support of HRDS India, and aims to provide secure, permanent shelter to affected families living in vulnerable areas.
The LG said the administration is committed to ensuring that no family is left without assistance. He recalled that the government had earlier provided ex-gratia relief, employment to the next of kin of the deceased, and compensation to families impacted by flash floods as well as cross-border shelling.
“We are ensuring that not a single family is deprived of their rights and fundamental needs,” LG Sinha said during the visit, reaffirming the UT administration’s focus on rehabilitation and long-term relief measures.
