SRINAGAR, June 22: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather advisory predicting intermittent rain and thundershowers across Jammu and Kashmir from June 22 to 30, with moderate to heavy rainfall expected, particularly in the Jammu Division.

Today, June 22, is likely to remain generally cloudy with light to moderate rain and thundershowers at many places. Isolated areas may experience intense showers.

From June 23 to 24, brief spells of rain or thundershowers are expected at scattered locations. A more active phase is forecast from June 25 to 27, with intermittent moderate rain and the likelihood of heavy downpours in parts of the Jammu Division.

Rain activity is expected to persist from June 28 to 30, with scattered showers across the region.

The MET Centre has also issued a warning for flash floods, especially in vulnerable areas today and during June 25 to 27. There is an increased risk of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones, particularly on hilly roads. Residents and travellers, especially in flood-prone and mountainous areas, are advised to exercise extreme caution.
