Srinagar: Police in Awantipora have filed a challan before a court of competent jurisdiction in connection with FIR No. 86/2025 against 40 individuals for alleged anti-national activities. The case has been registered under Sections 2 and 3 of the Enemy Infiltration and Movement Control Ordinance (EIMCO).

According to police, the accused are alleged to have illegally crossed the border into Pakistan for arms training and did not return. Following a sustained investigation, the case was found fit for judicial proceedings.

The investigation was carried out by the Station House Officer of Police Station Awantipora under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer Awantipora. Police said the filing of the challan underscores their commitment to acting against activities that threaten public order and national security.
