Jhelum Recedes Below Danger Mark at Sangam, RM Bagh; Pampore Still Above Flood Level

SRINAGAR: The Jhelum River showed signs of improvement on Friday, with water levels at Sangam and Ram Munshi Bagh dropping below danger marks, while Pampore continued to flow above the flood level.According to the Irrigation and Flood Control Department, 8 a.m. readings were: Sangam at 20.18 ft (danger 25 ft), Pampore at 5.74 m (danger 5.0 m), Ram Munshi Bagh at 20.49 ft (danger 21 ft), Asham at 13.99 ft (danger 16.5 ft), and Wullar at 1577.00 m (danger 1578.00 m).Officials urged residents to remain cautious as water levels continue to fluctuate across the Valley.
