Udaipur (Tripura), September 22, 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the historic Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Tripura, on Monday to offer prayers on the first day of Navratri, which also coincided with the beginning of Durga Puja festivities.
The 500-year-old temple, revered as one of the holiest Shakti Peethas, holds deep spiritual significance for devotees who believe it embodies the divine presence of Goddess Shakti. The shrine has recently undergone major renovations and infrastructural upgrades under government initiatives aimed at enhancing religious and cultural heritage sites.
