April 24- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, days after a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam claimed dozens of lives. The visit is aimed at showing support for the victims and their families.

Senior Congress leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir confirmed the visit, stating that Gandhi will land in Srinagar before heading to Government Medical College (GMC) in Anantnag. There, he will meet with those injured in the April 22 attack who are currently undergoing treatment.

“Rahul ji is arriving tomorrow and will be visiting GMC Anantnag to check on the well-being of those hurt in the attack,” Mir said.

The attack, which targeted a group of tourists, left at least 26 people dead and several others seriously injured. It has drawn widespread condemnation and sparked national outrage. Political leaders across the spectrum have called for swift and decisive action in response.

Gandhi’s visit is seen as a gesture of empathy and an effort to stand in solidarity with those affected by the violence.
