New Delhi, May 25:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday chaired a crucial day-long conclave of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers in New Delhi. The high-level meeting, held at the Ashoka Hotel, is aimed at fostering greater coordination among NDA-ruled states and aligning strategies on key national issues.
Around 20 Chief Ministers and 18 Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-led states are attending the event, which also sees the presence of top Union ministers and senior BJP leaders. BJP National President JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Home Minister Amit Shah are among the prominent leaders participating in the deliberations.
Key items on the agenda include discussions on the proposed caste-based census and a detailed review of “Operation Sindoor,” an initiative reportedly linked to national security and internal affairs. The meeting is also expected to focus on governance models, policy alignment, and preparations for upcoming electoral challenges.
Chief Ministers who arrived earlier in the day include Maharashtra’s Devendra Fadnavis, Madhya Pradesh’s Mohan Yadav, Odisha’s Mohan Charan Majhi, Bihar’s Nitish Kumar, and Nagaland’s Neiphiu Rio.
