Sept 30: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday attached the property of Tariq Ahmad Mir, a resident of Maldeera village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, for allegedly acting as a “hard-core terror associate.”
Officials said the property was seized under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act after evidence showed Mir provided logistical support to militants. Notices of attachment were pasted on the premises by NIA and local police.
The move is part of the agency’s ongoing crackdown on the financial and logistical networks backing militancy in Jammu and Kashmir. Over the past year, several such properties of alleged overground workers have been seized.
