SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is expected to witness mostly dry weather today, though brief showers may occur in a few southern and hilly districts such as Kishtwar, Doda, Anantnag, Ramban, Udhampur, and Kathua till afternoon. Conditions are likely to turn dry across the Union Territory later in the day.According to The Kashmir Weather forecaster, dry conditions are expected to prevail across J&K until October 20, with only isolated areas experiencing brief rainfall. This follows several days of rain and snowfall in higher reaches last week.At Zojila Pass, temperatures dropped sharply to minus 8°C, signaling early winter in upper elevations. The area has recorded about six inches of snowfall, with a current snow depth of five inches and light winds around six km/h.
