New Delhi, June 26 — Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power, Shri Manohar Lal, awarded skill certificates to 40 workers trained in MIVAN shuttering systems under the CPWD Labour Skill Training Programme at the GPRA site, Kasturba Nagar.

The 80-hour onsite training, conducted in collaboration with NAREDCO, is part of the Government’s Skill India Mission. The minister emphasized the importance of skilled labour in achieving infrastructure goals and announced plans to expand training to 25,000 workers next year.

It is now mandatory for contractors to employ at least 20% certified workers in projects above ₹10,000 crore or provide onsite training. The initiative aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and promotes sustainable, modern construction practices.
