Baltal, J&K, June 30: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today reviewed the preparedness of the Disaster Management system and took stock of the ongoing development work at the Yatri Niwas Complex in Baltal, ahead of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.
The visit focused on ensuring safety, infrastructure readiness, and seamless services for pilgrims. LG Sinha emphasized the need for robust disaster management mechanisms and real-time coordination among departments to handle any emergency during the yatra.
He also inspected healthcare facilities at the Baltal Base Camp Hospital and inaugurated a dedicated training ward for medical staff. The new facility is aimed at strengthening medical preparedness and enhancing the skills of healthcare workers deployed for the pilgrimage.
