Srinagar, May 7:
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday attended a high-level security meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah via video conference, in the wake of the Armed Forces’ precision strikes under Operation Sindoor.
Senior officials including Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, DGP J&K Nalin Prabhat, and top Intelligence Bureau officers joined the LG at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar. The meeting focused on national security and counter-terrorism strategies following recent cross-border strikes targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
LG Sinha assured full implementation of the Union Home Minister’s directions and emphasized zero tolerance for terrorism. He lauded the armed forces for their “measured and focused” strikes on nine terror targets, calling Operation Sindoor a decisive response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
Earlier in the day, the LG held a security review with senior civil and police officials, directing the relocation of residents from vulnerable border areas and ensuring their safety and well-being. “We are fully prepared to deal with any eventuality,” he said, affirming close coordination between civil administration, police, and armed forces.
