Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has welcomed the Centre’s approval of major infrastructure projects, including the ₹3,330 crore Sadhna Tunnel on National Highway-701 and the ₹4,786 crore Peer Ki Gali Tunnel along the historic Mughal Road.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to PM Modi and Nitin Gadkari for approving the projects.“These projects will ensure all-weather connectivity to remote and hilly regions, significantly improving accessibility and unlocking new avenues for economic growth and development,” the Chief Minister said.
The tunnels are expected to enhance transportation efficiency, reduce travel time, and provide vital year-round links to areas that often remain cut off during harsh winter months.
