Srinagar, June 9:
Lieutenant General Raghu Srinivasan, PVSM, VSM, Director General of Border Roads (DG BRO), called on the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday to discuss ongoing infrastructure projects under the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in the Union Territory.

During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the progress of various strategic initiatives undertaken by the BRO to enhance border connectivity and infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir. The Chief Minister lauded the BRO’s efforts and commitment to executing development projects in some of the country’s most challenging terrains.

He also acknowledged the critical role of BRO projects in improving connectivity for border communities and strengthening national security.

“The BRO’s tireless work in difficult conditions reflects its dedication to nation-building,” the Chief Minister said in a statement following the meeting.

The BRO has been instrumental in constructing and maintaining roads and bridges in remote and high-altitude areas of J&K, significantly contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
