May 14: Authorities at Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri confirmed that 21 individuals injured in the recent cross-border shelling by Pakistan have been discharged after receiving treatment, while six others who underwent surgeries are in stable condition.Speaking to the media, Principal GMC Rajouri, Dr. A.S. Bhatiya, accompanied by Medical Superintendent Dr. Shamim Ahmed, said the hospital received a total of 27 patients following the shelling incident. “Of these, 21 have recovered and been discharged. The remaining six, who required surgical intervention, are stable and recovering well. They are expected to be discharged shortly,” Dr. Bhatiya said.
He commended the medical staff for their prompt and efficient response. “Our teams acted swiftly, and all patients received the necessary care without delay. Thankfully, all of them are now out of danger,” he added.
