JAMMU & KASHMIR — The Union Territory is poised for largely stable weather over the coming days, with only brief spells of light snowfall expected in the higher reaches, according to the latest meteorological forecast.

From December 2 to 3, conditions will remain generally dry across J&K, bringing clear skies and cold early-morning temperatures typical of the season.

A weak Western Disturbance may trigger light snowfall at isolated higher reaches late on December 4 and into the early hours of December 5. No significant weather activity is expected in the plains.

Dry and stable conditions are expected again between December 6 and 7, with no major precipitation in the forecast.

Another short spell of light snowfall is possible over isolated higher altitudes on December 8, though widespread activity remains unlikely.

Between December 9 and 13, residents can expect partly cloudy skies—weather typical of early winter transitions as additional Western Disturbances approach the region.

The MeT Department has advised travellers, especially those heading toward higher reaches, to stay updated on road conditions, as even light snowfall may cause temporary disruptions.
