SRINAGAR, Apr 15: Five individuals sustained injuries in a road accident that took place on Tuesday morning along the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway in Jammu’s Rajouri district.
According to officials, the mishap occurred near Katarmal, close to Ghambir Brahmana, when a passenger bus skidded off the highway and plunged off the road.
The injured were promptly moved to Government Medical College (GMC) Associated Hospital in Rajouri, where they are currently receiving medical care.
The injured have been identified as Sunika Kumar, a local resident of Ghambir Brahmana; Mohammad Younis, son of Mohammad Ismail; and Shazia Kosser, daughter of Mohammad Bashir—both residents of Katarmal—as well as Irfan Ahmad and Mohammad Irfan.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, and police have taken cognisance of the matter.
