April 26: Senior CPI(M) leader M.Y. Tarigami on Saturday strongly condemned the Pahalgam attack in which tourists were targeted, calling it a deeply saddening incident. He praised the people across Kashmir and Jammu for coming together to denounce the act and maintain communal harmony.

“We are all deeply saddened by the incident where our tourist brothers were targeted. The way people across Kashmir—both in towns and villages—condemned this criminal act deserves appreciation. In Jammu too, many came together to maintain peace and showed solidarity, ” Said Tarigami.

He further emphasized that disturbing peace for narrow political gains or targeting particular communities threatens national security, especially in a region that has long suffered due to conflict.
