Ganderbal, 20 Nov: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday visited Babanagri Wangat in Kangan, Ganderbal, to offer condolences to the family of Bilal Ahmad Sangoo, who lost his life in the Delhi Red Fort blast. She met the bereaved family, expressed her sympathy, and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Speaking to reporters, Mehbooba Mufti described the incident as tragic and deeply distressing. She urged the government to extend all possible assistance to the victim’s family during this difficult period.

The PDP chief emphasized that the actions of a few individuals must not lead to the collective punishment of innocent people from Jammu and Kashmir. She said Kashmiris should not be subjected to harassment or discrimination anywhere in the country in the aftermath of the blast.

Mehbooba appealed to the government to ensure the safety and well-being of Kashmiri students, workers, and others residing outside the region. She added that she hopes Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will take up the matter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Minister to safeguard the rights, safety, and dignity of all Kashmiris.
