MAY 5: Omar Abdullah has officially resumed office at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar on May 5, marking the commencement of the traditional biannual Darbar Move after a six-month break. This event signals the government’s transition to the Kashmir Valley for the summer season. In a message on X, Abdullah highlighted that his administration’s primary focus for the next six months would be on “action, accountability, and ensuring that every citizen benefits from effective governance and development.” He called on government officials to adopt a results-oriented approach and reaffirmed the commitment to addressing public concerns and advancing developmental projects throughout the Valley. “Let’s ensure these next six months are productive,” he added.
