Srinagar, July 3 – Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday warmly welcomed Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to Srinagar during a high-level review meeting held in the aftermath of the recent Pahalgam incident.
The Chief Minister expressed deep appreciation for the Union Minister’s prompt visit and timely response following the tragedy that struck the region.
“Your presence today has won our hearts. It reflects the Centre’s solidarity with Jammu and Kashmir in these challenging times,” Abdullah posted on X, highlighting the importance of continued cooperation between the Centre and the Union Territory in addressing crises and ensuring public safety.
The meeting, held in the summer capital, focused on reviewing the current situation, assessing relief measures, and coordinating efforts to support the affected families and communities. Officials from both the central and UT administrations were in attendance.
Minister Chouhan’s visit is seen as a strong gesture of support and concern from the central government for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
