Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in the presence of Hon’ble Union Minister for Power, Housing & Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, chaired a series of high-level review meetings focusing on the Power Development Department (PDD) and the Housing & Urban Development Department (H&UDD) in Jammu and Kashmir.

The meetings, held to assess the progress of ongoing initiatives, emphasized the urgent need for structural reforms, improved service delivery mechanisms, and the fast-tracking of key development projects across the Union Territory.

Officials from both departments presented detailed briefings on existing challenges and the status of infrastructure upgrades. The leadership underscored their commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the people of J&K by ensuring timely execution of essential services and reforms.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Omar Abdullah reiterated his government’s resolve to bring transformative changes in the power and urban development sectors. Union Minister Khattar assured full support from the Centre in facilitating these developmental goals.

The review meetings come at a crucial time when the administration is focusing on long-term planning to ensure sustainable growth, energy efficiency, and improved urban infrastructure across the region.
