Srinagar, Sep 07: Paramedical students at Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar have accused authorities of negligence after being barred from their second-year exams due to pending first-year backlogs, despite no supplementary exams being held.
Students said they were informed only two days before the exams that they could not appear, leaving hundreds in distress. “Our first paper on September 2 was postponed after protests, but no solution has been provided. We are given false assurances every day while our future remains uncertain,” they said.
Blaming both GMC Srinagar and Kashmir University for “mismanagement and insensitivity,” the students said the delay is harming their academic careers and mental health. They urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and higher education authorities to intervene and resolve the issue immediately.
