Jammu, December 12:
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday inaugurated 56 newly constructed 2-BHK (G+6) residential flats at Ahata Amar Singh Colony and Sarwal Housing Colony in Jammu. The housing units have been developed to address the long-pending accommodation needs of government employees in the region.

Equipped with modern infrastructure and essential amenities, the newly built flats are expected to significantly ease accommodation shortages, providing government employees with safe, dignified and well-planned residential facilities.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary (@Surinderch55) and Advisor Nasir Sogami (@nasirsogami) during the inauguration ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, officials highlighted that the initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to improving the living conditions of government employees and ensuring better residential support systems.

The newly inaugurated housing blocks are part of the government’s broader efforts to modernize civic infrastructure and expand residential facilities across Jammu and Kashmir.
