Heavy Rains, Cloudburst Threat in J&K: MeT Advisory

Srinagar, Sept 2: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued an advisory warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Jammu and Kashmir.On September 2–3, Kathua, Jammu, Udhampur, and Reasi are expected to witness heavy downpours, while Doda, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban, Kishtwar, Anantnag, and Kulgam may see moderate to heavy rain, especially late tonight and early tomorrow.Light to moderate showers are forecast across the region from September 4–7, with another spell of moderate rain likely in Jammu Division on September 8–9. Weather is expected to improve between September 9–11.The MeT has cautioned against cloudbursts, flash floods, landslides, and shooting stones in vulnerable areas.
