No Flood Threat as Jhelum, Tributaries See Minor Rise

SRINAGAR: Despite moderate rainfall, water levels in the Jhelum and its tributaries saw only a slight rise on Wednesday, with officials confirming there’s no immediate flood threat.According to the Irrigation and Flood Control Department, the Jhelum was flowing at 3.85 feet at Sangam (flood mark: 21 feet), 5.94 feet at Munshi Bagh (flood mark: 18 feet), and 3.84 feet at Asham (flood mark: 14 feet).Other readings included: Pampore – 0.05m, Wullar Lake – 1574.94m (full level: 1578.00m), Vishow Nallah at Khudwani – 2.73m, Rambiyara at Wachi – 0.01m, Lidder at Batkoot – 0.79m, and Sindh Nallah at Doderhama – 1.06m, all well below danger levels.
