New Delhi, July 10, 2025 — Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that the central government has approved ₹1,066.80 crore in relief funds for flood- and landslide-affected states, including Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala, and Uttarakhand. The assistance comes as part of the Centre’s share under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).

In a post on social media, Shah emphasized the Modi government’s unwavering support for states in times of crisis. “Modi govt stands resolutely beside the states in all situations,” he stated.

He added that over ₹8,000 crore has already been disbursed this year to 19 states from the SDRF and National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF).

Beyond financial aid, Shah noted that the Centre is prioritizing logistical support, including the deployment of the NDRF, Army, and Air Force, to ensure timely disaster response and relief operations.
