LG Manoj Sinha Reviews Final Preparations for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra

Srinagar, July 1: In a high-level meeting held today, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed the final preparations for the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, scheduled to commence shortly.

The meeting was aimed at ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place for the smooth and safe conduct of the pilgrimage.During the review, the Lieutenant Governor directed the concerned departments to ensure that the traffic advisory related to the Yatra is widely publicized. He emphasized that proper dissemination of traffic-related information is essential to avoid inconvenience to the general public during the pilgrimage period.

The LG further instructed all Deputy Commissioners to personally oversee the arrangements at the lodgement centres and ensure that sanitation units are clean, functional, and ready to accommodate pilgrims. He underlined the importance of maintaining hygiene and providing basic amenities at all halting points along the Yatra route.“Every possible step must be taken to ensure the comfort and safety of the pilgrims, as well as to minimize disruption to the local population,” LG Sinha said.Officials from various departments including police, traffic, health, PWD, and disaster management participated in the meeting and presented updates on their respective areas of responsibility.
