SRINAGAR – Minister for Higher Education, Health, and Social Welfare, Sakina Masood Itoo, on Friday laid the foundation stone for a new degree college in Chadoora, Budgam, to be built at a cost of Rs 1.2 crore.

She said the initiative would enhance educational infrastructure and offer improved academic opportunities for students in Chadoora and nearby areas. Chadoora MLA Ali Mohammad Dar and senior district officials accompanied the minister.

Later, hitting back at the PDP’s criticism of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s statehood remarks, Itoo said the party had “lost relevance” and was engaging in “baseless politics” to cover up its failures.
