SRINAGAR, May 8: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Wednesday affirmed that all directives issued by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor will be executed in full, with strict adherence to both the spirit and the letter of the orders.
According to an official spokesperson, the LG directed senior officials to take prompt and decisive action on the Home Ministry’s instructions, ensuring timely neutralisation of any emerging threats. Sinha reiterated the administration’s uncompromising stance on terrorism and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in guiding the nation’s security strategy.
The high-level virtual meeting chaired by Shah came just hours after India conducted precision strikes on terror infrastructure across the Line of Control (LoC), in retaliation for the recent Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives.
Commending the armed forces for their successful targeting of terror camps operated by groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, the LG said Operation Sindoor had sent a clear and powerful message: India will not hesitate to act decisively against terrorism, regardless of where it originates.
The Lieutenant Governor also held a security review with police and district officials, directing deputy commissioners to relocate residents from high-risk border areas and to ensure their safety and well-being.
