Georgetown, Guyana – May 2025:Indian Member of Parliament and senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor held a lively and candid interaction with a group of 25 to 30 civil society representatives and business leaders in Guyana, focusing on recent developments and bilateral perspectives.

The event featured an off-the-record question-and-answer session, encouraging a more open and sincere exchange of views. According to Tharoor’s post on social media platform X, the attendees were “well-informed” and engaged actively throughout the discussion.

Several attendees approached Tharoor for photographs following the session. Among them were Bissoondyal Singh, President of the Guyana Cricket Board, and Neaz Subhan, CEO of the National Communications Network (NCN).

Tharoor is known for his diplomatic and intellectual engagements across the globe, and his visit to Guyana is seen as part of broader efforts to strengthen India-Caribbean ties.
