Jammu, May 10:
The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir visited Rehari and Roopnagar areas in Jammu on Friday to assess the damage caused by recent cross-border shelling. The visit comes in the wake of increased concern over civilian safety and property loss in the affected regions.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister interacted with local residents, many of whom have been displaced or severely impacted by the shelling. Expressing deep concern over the suffering endured by the people, the CM assured that the government stands firmly with all affected families.

“We are committed to providing all necessary assistance without delay,” the Chief Minister stated. “Every family impacted by this unfortunate incident will receive timely support and care.”

Officials accompanying the CM included district administration authorities and representatives from the disaster management department. Relief measures, including temporary shelters, medical aid, and rehabilitation efforts, are expected to be rolled out in the coming days.

The government has also directed local authorities to expedite damage assessments and ensure that essential services are restored promptly in the affected neighborhoods.
