Akshay Labroo Assumes Charge as Srinagar Deputy Commissioner

Srinagar, June 16 — Akshay Labroo officially took charge on Monday as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Srinagar district, marking a key development in the recent administrative reshuffle in Jammu and Kashmir.An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2018 batch from the Tripura cadre, Labroo has held several significant positions in the region. His previous roles include Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Director Information in the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Srinagar.The appointment comes as part of a broader bureaucratic reshuffle ordered by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha aimed at enhancing governance and administrative efficiency in the region.
