Ahmedabad, May 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held a telephonic conversation with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to review the state’s preparedness amid the prevailing situation, given its strategic location along the India-Pakistan border.
Gujarat shares both land and maritime borders with Pakistan, making it a critical region from a security standpoint.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with me over the phone and sought details about Gujarat’s preparedness as a border state, along with the advance planning undertaken by the state government. He also offered necessary guidance,” CM Patel stated in a post on X.
The interaction comes amid heightened focus on security and readiness in border regions across the country.
