Baramulla, June 1: In a continued crackdown against drug trafficking, Baramulla Police apprehended two alleged drug peddlers during a naka checking operation at Khawajabagh and recovered a substantial quantity of contraband from their possession.
According to police officials, the accused were intercepted at Khawajabagh, where a search led to the recovery of 487.5 grams of opium pods. The contraband was seized on the spot, and both individuals were taken into custody.
Following the seizure, Police Station Baramulla registered FIR No. 68/2026 under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
