Pakistan issued its first statements on Wednesday following the horrific terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of at least 28 people, including several tourists, on Tuesday.
In a reaction to the tragedy, a spokesperson from Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry expressed deep concern over the loss of innocent lives, particularly the tourists targeted in the attack. The statement emphasized Pakistan’s condolences and sympathy for the victims’ families.
This response came shortly after Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, categorically denied any involvement by Pakistan in the deadly assault, reiterating the country’s position against terrorism.
